CLASSIFICATION OF COMPANY
Company is a corporate body and a legal person having status
personality distinct and separate from its members constituting it.
CLASSIFICATION:
Company is broadly classified in to three
types
Classification on the basis of incorporation:-

Statutory companies.
2.
Registered companies.
Statutory
companies:
Companies
incorporated by a special Act.
Registered
company:
Company
incorporated under the company’s act 2013.
Classification on the basis of liability:
1.
Unlimited company.
2.
Company limited by share.
3.
Company limited by guarantee.
Unlimited company:
Company
in which members has unlimited liability towards the company.
Company limited by
share:
A
company that has liability of its member limited by the memorandum to the
amount, if any, unpaid on the shares respectively held by them is termed as a
company limited by share.
Company limited by guarantee:
A
company that has the liability of its members limited to such amount as the
members may respectively undertake by the memorandum to contribute to the
assets of the company in the event of its being wound-up is known as a company
limited by guarantee.
Other form of companies:

Companies registered u/s 8 of the companies act
2013.

Foreign company.

Holding and subsidiary company.

Associate company/ joint venture company.
